Muslim Conversions 

 

The next time someone says that Islam is the fastest growing religion, quote these statistics, generated from a Muslim website, by a Muslim cleric:

  • In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity.
  • Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity.
  • Ever year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity

"There will be no end to the increase of His government..."

Isa. 9:7

 Unfortunately, these statistic represent mostly the demograhics of continental Africa.  What is happening in the EU is not as dramatic. In fact, the Muslim population is growing much faster ( 8:1) than the Christian population.

As a result, Shariah law as well as finance are finding in roads all over the EU. 

As a child, I was told to pray for the conversion of Russia.  Now, I urge the next generation to pray for the conversion of the Islamic EU.

What Would He Pay?

While waiting in line to check out at a Christian bookstore, a man in front of me asked the clerk about a display of hats with the letters WWJD on them. The clerk explained that WWJD stands for "What would Jesus do?" and that the idea is to get people to consider this question when making decisions.

The man pondered a moment, then replied, "I don't think he'd pay $17.95 for that hat."

Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

 

Business is slow. People are getting laid off. Stocks continue to drop, and if reports are accurate, taxes are going up.

It makes for a very troubling atmosphere. And yet, as followers of Jesus, we are commanded to "seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Could this season of economic hardship be an opportunity for the advancing of His kingdom like no other? I believe it is.

First of all, it is causing me to face the strongholds of fear in my own heart.  Romans 14:23 in The Message says, "...If the way you live isn't consistent with what you believe, then it's wrong."  Ouch!  I say I trust God, but there is so much fear vying for my allegiance.

So here I am sorting through my inconsistencies, and asking God to help me be free from fear. That will advance His kingdom in my heart.

Without apology, this divinely inspired governmental directive is without equal in human history. But in our generation, paralleled by no other, there are attempts to supercede its authority and redefine its intention.

  • Thank God for the grace He bestowed on our founding fathers.
  • Thank Him for His wisdom that guided their decisions.
  • Thank Him for the fear of the Lord that taught them.
  • Pray for His continued grace and wisdom and the fear of the Lord to cover our local, state and national leaders, legislators, and judiciary.
